Artica use LDAP server to store users settings, you can use this LDAP server to centralize contacts for your users and provide a strong Address Books storage.
This feature allow your users to store their own personal address book on the Artica server.
Enable the Personal Address Book.
- Click on "System" on the left menu.
- On the new screen select Services & Applications tab
- Choose Address Book option

- On the Address Book option,turn to green the second option"Per User Address Book"
- Click on Edit button
- The LDAP server will be restarted and the Access List will be updated in order to allow user to fille their LDAP Branchs
Get user information
Your users need to fill remote clients settings with special LDAP settings.
To get these settings, they need to connect trough Artica Interface in order to obtain their credentials.
If the option is enabled, users can see a new icon Called Address Book

With parameters displayed by Artica, they can set their eMail/contacts client to connect their Personnal Address Book.

Be carrefull, some clients (eg : Thunderbird) are not able to edit/save contacts information with LDAP Address Book.
