When creating virtual IP addresses with a different network mask, you need to link the Virtual IP address with the real interface in order to route connexions.

It is useful when you associates this schema in combination with multiple postfix instances feature

the picture bellow use 3 postfix instances that listen virtual interfaces set in 3 different LANs. These instances are able to route messages trough the main interface "eth0" in order to send outgoing mail trough Internet.

  • To create a bridge: on the left menu, click on System/Networks
  • Select "Bridges" tab

  • Choose on the first drop-down list the virtual interface.
  • Select on the second drop-down list the main interface that should be linked.

After click on the Add the bridge button, you can display rules created to make the bridge run.
