A) Installing core programs
Joomla can be installed trough Setup Control Center
You need to install first the Apache+Php engine has a dedicated web engine for Joomla (used for OpenGoo too)
- Click on Groupware Packages tab
- Install packages in the following order :
- Apache Groupware Engine
- Php groupware engine.
- Joomla web service.
Wait few minutes in order to have a success on all installations
B) Enable Organization's dedicated Joomla.
Each organization you have already created can have it's own Joomla web site.
USE THIS PROCEDURE TO ENABLE YOUR WEBSITE IN PRODUCTION MODE
Be careful, you need to put on the local/Public DNS the server name you have set in this form.
If you want to test quickly the connection without adding the server name in DNS do these operations :
For Linux:
open the /etc/hosts file on your computer.
Add a line with
your servername [tab] ip address of the server
For Windows :
Open C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and do the same operation like linux:
Add a line with
your servername [tab] ip address of the server
After this operation will be able to click on the link in the form to open the Joomla Administration area.
