Change multiple instances hostname for masquerade way.

This feature is available with Artica version 1.4.100521

If you are under this release you need to upgrade your Artica version.
If this version is not released use the How to upgrade Artica to a nightly build ?

It allow you to change the hostname used by Postfix when using multiple postfix instances.

With this feature, we can "masquerade" instances when building outgoing multiple relays on the same machine.

Each instance will use the WAN NIC to send emails and be signed has this IP address

The Wan NIC is registered in Public DNS with one mx.

To fix DNS lookup we need to force instances to get the public hostname registred in Public DNS.

 

 

To change hostname in multiple instance method :

  • Select your organization
  • Choose "Messaging servers"
  • Select your postfix instance.
  • Select Routing & Network Tab
  • Click on Virtual Hostname icon.

Give the new desired hostname.
