This feature is available with Artica version 1.4.100913
If you are under this release you need to upgrade your Artica version.
If this version is not released use the How to upgrade Artica to a nightly build ?
With this feature you share an usb storage device trough samba.
If users needs to access to USB devices trough the network, the system will automatically mount devices on the File System.
After several minutes if nobody read,write on the Shared USB device, the system will automatically dismount the device to safely unplugg it from the computer.
Plug your USB device on the server
- On the left menu choose File Sharing/ Main Parameters.
- select Windows Networking Share tab.
- Click on USB Sharing icon.
- You should see your usb devices plugged on the system.
- Click on the desired plugged device.
- On the main section of your USB device, click on "USB Sharing" icon.
- Give the name of the shared folder that you well when you will browse this server trough the network.
- The USB Sharing icon will be replaced by the "Share Informations" Icon
- Click on the "Share Informations" Icon
This section allow you to personalize share access and security when users will want to browse your USB device trough the network.
