This feature is available with Artica version 1.4.112112
If you are under this release you need to upgrade your Artica version.
If this version is not released use the How to upgrade Artica to a nightly build ?
Artica use 3 methods to discovery computers :
- NMAP scanner the parse sub networks and fill LDAP database according computers scanner results.
- Parse periodically the DHCP lease file usually in /var/lib/dhcp3/dhcpd.leases
- New DHCP IP send by the DHCPD server are catched by artica for filling the LDAP database.
When artica add a computer it checks if the MAC address exists in LDAP database. If not, the computer is automatically added in the LDAP Database.
These auto-discovery methods can be disabled in this way
- On the left menu, choose File Sharing/Computers
- Click on Edit Networks icon

Uncheck the Allow NMAP scanner and Allow parse DHCP leases options to disable all the auto-discovery feature.
