[ARTICA]: New release: 1.7.050201 : 9 New features 6 fixed bugs

Hi members,

you will find here news about the Artica release.
This is the May release and we hope that the sun will growth quickly with this new version :=)

Basically this new version have new Proxy statistics and Proxy ACLs features.
Your Proxy users can now display their own statistics trough the End-Users WebAccess interface:

Proxy ACLs can now be exported and imported, we hop creating a big community with Proxy ACLs.
Community can share their ACLs trough the Artica Forum:

You Artica server will be automatically updated with this new version.
We will upload new ISOs in the future...

  1.  "C.A.S" Authentication method :
    CAS server provide central Single sign-on ( www.jasig.org ), this project growth every day. It is supported/distributed by VMWare and Zimbra system.
    It is important that all Artica modules turn to CAS authentication system compatibilites.
    We will investigate to turn into CAS system by priority: Squid Proxy Standard/Reverse, Zarafa server, Apache Web servers.
    We will investigate to add CAS Server directly in Artica...

  2. Reverse Proxy
    The reverse proxy is just an option in Artica, the goal is to be an important part since Microsoft cancel it's TNG system.
    It is possible that in the future a new Appliance will be released and designed for the reverse proxy feature.
    The main deal is to provide an Artica For Reverse Proxy for all microsoft products such as OWA, SharePoint...
  3. HotSpot Feature whith Coova Hotspot:
    Artica is ready to store Coova hotspot, required components such as FreeRadius,Apache are already supported.
    This is a prority for us as the standard HotSpot feature inside Artica is Limited (no SSL catch).
  4. Anti-Spam settings per users.
    Currently the feature is ready but it is not displayed in the Artica system.
    We test all features and provide it in next nightlys.
    The target is to offer a Web interface per user in order to provide Anti-spam settings/black & White lists/quarantine/statistics/Mailbox Web management interface
  5. Dedicated MySQL server for Zarafa.
    Currently the feature is ready but it is not displayed in the Artica system.
    We test all features and provide it in next nightlys.
    The main target is to detach the Zarafa database that stores mailboxes from the Main MySQL service to a dedicated MySQL service designed for the Zarafa system.
    The MySQL service will be automatically tuned for Zarafa specifications and remove some compatibilites issues.
    This feature will provide some opportunites for cluster/Backup/architecture extra features.
  6. Multiple virtual Samba services.
    Samba can be exploded on multiple file sharing services on the same machine.
    These virtual services are displayed in the network browser and look like multiple servers.
    The target is to provide privileges for each Virtual Samba.
    In this case each administrator can manage it's own Virtual Samba server on the same host.

Ubuntu 12.04,13.02 and CentOs 6.4 are not tested, we encourage all Artica members to use Debian systems.

1.7.050201: It seems that many IT did not know about the second web interface for End-users, to prevent this, the first installation wizard ask to create this second web interface.
